As natives from Caucasus prefer to settle together and to live among their relatives, friends and former fellow countrymen in the same city, and sometimes even in the same street, such Caucasian Jewish communities spontaneously appear in Israel. Unfortunately, new immigrants don't have any organized Jewish life. They have no synagogues, no rabbis, and no classes. At the same time Caucasusian Jews, more than any others, prefer their own Caucasian rabbis speaking their language.
Therefore in 2003, Rabbi Yitzchok Zilber decided to convene the International Conference of Caucasian Rabbis, avrechim, and yeshiva students, natives of Caucasus, among which there were, in fact, a lot of his students. In order to attract partners to participate in the conference the management of the World Congress of Caucasian Jews was invited. The purpose of the congress was to create Jewish life in the communities of Caucasian Jews, so that Caucasian rabbis would undertake the revival of the Jewish tradition among their fellow countrymen. As a result of this serious work Toldos Yeshurun inspired Jewish life in Caucasian communities in Netania, Ofakifm, Tel-Aviv, Hadera.
